SYCAMORE
We source our sycamore timber from castles and estates in Ireland. When a sycamore tree matures it can become a hazard and estates need to fell them to make them safe. This facilitates replanting of new trees. Sycamore hard timber and is light in colour with some variations. We finish our sycamore furniture with a hard wearing durable polish that is water, stain and heat resistant.
MAHOGANY
We source our mahogany from managed renewable forests in South America where the timber is specially grown for the furniture industry. Mahogany is a naturally dark and timber and finishes smooth. Mahogany can be stained to a variety of colours. We finish our mahogany furniture with a hard wearing durable polish that is water, stain and heat resistant.
ELM
We source our elm timber from renewable forests in North America. The elm from these managed forests is of a very high quality. Elm has a greenish tinge to it that finishes to a smooth hard finish. We finish our elm furniture with a hard wearing durable polish that is water, stain and heat resistant. |
